The Child Care Checklist is an online tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Nemours.

The Checklist is designed to help child care programs identify ways to strengthen their nutrition and physical activity practices and policies. Users are taken through an online quiz, followed by a customized action plan to set goals and procedures for achieving a more health-promoting child care environment.

To maximize its value and effectiveness in the field, the National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) supported this effort by conducting usability testing of and enhancing the online tool to create a better user experience.
