CDC & IOM Local Government Recommendation Comparison Table

  • This side-by-side comparison of CDC’s Community Recommendations and the IoM Recommendations released Sept. 1, 2009, shows how much overlap exists in both groups’ strategies and measures. The IoM Committee did not have access to the CDC measures; this depicts how two independent processes come to the same conclusions, which strengthens both. Note: What the IoM terms a recommended “action step” is what CDC terms a recommended strategy. As a result of this difference in terminology, this document includes the Committee’s broad/overarching strategy and the more specific recommended action step in the table.
