Registration now open for Active Living Research’s Annual Conference

Registration is now open for the Active Living Research (ALR) 2015 Annual Conference. The theme of the 2015 conference, “The Science of Policy Implementation,” explores the process of taking findings from the research field of active living and using them to inform policies that increase population-level physical activity. The conference will be held Feb. 22-25, 2015 in San Diego.

The ALR conference is the premier venue for cutting-edge research and for putting that research into practice by non-scientists. Thus, the 2015 conference agenda will have two focus areas: research and practice/policy. The focus areas apply to both presentations and workshops.

The goal of including two focus areas is to encourage a broad audience to attend the conference and provide more opportunities for exchange on how to use evidence to increase physical activity across many different sectors and settings. The program will be comprised of approximately 2/3 research-oriented and 1/3 practice/policy-oriented presentations, with some overlap. The research and practice/policy presentations will be integrated and organized by topic area.

The conference will help researchers identify new policy-relevant research questions and help practitioners and policy makers identify new research findings they can apply.

Register by Dec. 10 to receive the early bird rate. For more information visit the ALR website.
