NCCOR is headed to APHA 2018!

NCCOR is headed to San Diego, CA for the American Public Health Association (APHA) 2018 Annual Meeting and Expo! More than 12,000 public health professionals will gather from November 10-14 at the San Diego Convention Center. This year’s theme is Creating the Healthiest Nation: Health Equity Now.

On Tuesday, November 13 at 3 PM PT, NCCOR is hosting a collaborative panel session—Tools of the Trade: NCCOR Resources for Evidence-Based Practice in Diet and Physical Activity. NCCOR members will provide an overview of the recently updated Measures Registry and new User Guides, the updated Catalogue of Surveillance Systems, and the new Youth Compendium of Physical Activities, sharing how they can assist public health practitioners in their evaluation efforts. The presentation will include case studies on how the tools can be used in real-world contexts.

NCCOR will also have a booth (#2021) in the exhibit hall throughout the conference. Stop by for more information on the Collaborative and up-to-date resources for public health researchers and practitioners, including a NEW student Q&A for using the Measures Registry and steps for building a public health collaborative using the NCCOR model.

Attendees are encouraged to follow and like @NCCOR on Facebook and Twitter and use the hashtag #NCCORatAPHA and #APHA2018 to stay connected with NCCOR activities during the conference.

In addition to the Tuesday presentation and ongoing exhibit booth, attendees can hear directly from NCCOR members through a variety of sessions:
