NCCOR at SNEB 2020

If you’re attending SNEB this week, get to know more about the National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) and all the resources we have to offer nutrition education professionals.

NCCOR is a collaborative between the nation’s four leading science research funders: the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NCCOR’s mission is to accelerate progress in reducing childhood obesity for all children, with particular attention to high-risk populations and communities.

This week at SNEB, NCCOR will be giving a presentation called “Tools of the Trade: Using NCCOR’s Measures Registry Resource Suite in the Field” which will highlight this resource and share how it can be used in research and in the classroom. The Measures Registry Resource Suite encompasses three tools relevant to childhood obesity research and evaluation:

  • NCCOR’s Connect & Explore Webinar Archive: NCCOR continually brings together experts from across the field for interactive webinars on various topics that you can access for free any time. Take advantage of these experts in your own home.
  • Student Hub: If you’re a graduate student studying diet/nutrition or physical activity, sign up for NCCOR’s quarterly Student Hub e-newsletter and check out our Student Hub website for resources specifically geared towards students and faculty.
