On October 11, 2017 NCCOR hosted a Connect & Explore webinar on Built Environment Interventions to Increase Physical Activity. The webinar highlighted recommendations from the Community Preventive Services Task Force report Physical Activity: Built Environment Approaches Combining Transportation System Interventions with Land Use and Environmental Design. Speakers included Jamie Chriqui, PhD, MHS, Professor of Health Policy and Administration and Co-Director of the Health Policy Center in the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s School of Public Health; Christopher Kochtitzky, MSP, Senior Advisor, Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and Ross Brownson, PhD, Bernard Becker Professor of Public Health and Co-Director, Prevention Research Center at Washington University in St. Louis.
