The National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research makes great efforts to monitor and moderate content posted on its social media platforms.

The content on NCCOR’s social media platforms, including but not limited to the NCCOR blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube webpages, features published material from academic journals and media outlets, as well as the thoughts of childhood obesity research and related online communities. The content does not necessarily reflect the thoughts or opinions of NCCOR or its members, Coordinating Center, Steering Committee, or funders. Unless specifically attributed to NCCOR, the content expressed on these pages does not reflect the activities or mission of NCCOR, research of NCCOR members, or opinions by the staff involved with maintaining the site.

Policy

By submitting content to NCCOR social media sites, you understand and acknowledge that this information is available to the public. NCCOR reserves the sole right to review, edit, and/or delete any comments it deems inappropriate. Comments including but not limited to the following may be deleted or edited by the moderators:

  • Abusive, defamatory, or hurtful comments about individuals, agencies, or organizations (i.e., making negative personal and/or untrue comments)
  • Off-topic and redundant comments (including promotion of events, groups, pages, websites, organizations, and programs not related to childhood obesity research and complementary areas)
  • Comments that use foul language or “hate speech” (including, but not limited to racial, ethnic, or gender bashing language)
  • Comments that violate the privacy of individuals or organizations
