Webinar: Tool helps move research into practice

Cancer Control P.L.A.N.E.T. was developed as a web portal to assist with moving research into practice. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) aims to disseminate the Cancer Control P.L.A.N.E.T. tools to health program planners in three Massachusetts communities—Boston, Lawrence, and Worcester—via a community-based participatory research project funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) called PLANET MassCONECT.

This webinar highlighted the findings of an exploratory analysis of perceptions of evidence-based programs (EBPs) in community-based organizations as part of the development of the PLANET MassCONECT project.

In addition to learning about the MassCONECT project, new tools that were added to the Cancer Control P.L.A.N.E.T. site were previewed during the event; planned enhancements for 2010 were also shared.
