NCCOR Tools 101

NCCOR has a variety of free tools and resources that can assist graduate students studying public health, nutrition, and kinesiology succeed with their coursework and research. Work efficiently and effectively knowing these tools are created by reputable experts in the field.

These resources can help you select the most appropriate measures or datasets for your projects and also enhance your thesis and capstone projects. Learn more about these resources in the NCCOR Student Resources Guide.

Boost your research or evaluation project with these tools:

  • The Measures Registry Resources Suite includes three tools to support childhood obesity research and evaluation.
  • The Youth Compendium of Physical Activities provides a list of 196 common activities youth participate in and the estimated energy cost associated with each activity.
  • NCCOR’s Catalogue of Surveillance Systems provides easy to navigate, one-stop access to over 100 publicly available datasets relevant to childhood obesity research and evaluation.
